Overview
We developed the bespoke Arabic title lettering for From the Ashes, a Saudi Netflix production created with Ideation Studios. The lettering was drawn entirely by hand using chalk to echo the school setting and the story's dramatic tension, then carefully digitized while preserving the authentic texture and imperfections of the original medium. Set inside a girls' school following a mysterious fire, the film premiered exclusively on Netflix in January 2024.
The title treatment was well received by the Netflix team for its authentic local character, handcrafted quality, and Saudi creative execution. The film was later followed by From the Ashes: The Pit, which debuted at No. 3 on Netflix's global non-English films list.
